In a groundbreaking development, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the discovery of a substantial gas reserve at its exploratory well, Chak 202-1, situated in District Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab Province.
This significant find further cements OGDCL’s position as a leader in Pakistan’s energy sector.
Drilled on June 29, 2024, the Chak 202-1 well has successfully tested a production capacity of 6.15 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas.
This discovery marks OGDCL’s second consecutive success in the Mari East Block, showcasing the effectiveness of the company’s exploration strategies and technological prowess.
