Today, August 19th marks the 105th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence from British rule. This momentous occasion is a testament to the resilience of Afghanistan and the determination to self-governance.

Afghanistan’s governance system has evolved significantly since independence. The country has transitioned from a monarchy to a republic system of governance.

Despite challenges, Afghanistan has made strides in establishing a democratic system, with a president, parliament, and an independent judiciary.

However, the current Taliban regime has brutally suppressed the country’s democratic aspirations.

Seizing power through force and violence, they have imposed a draconian rule, denying Afghans their fundamental rights and freedoms.

Also Taliban banned women’s education in the country for which I would request the United Nations and Human Rights Department to focus and resolve this issue.

Their cruel and oppressive regime has brought only suffering and despair to the Afghan people, perpetuating a cycle of violence and fear.

In stark contrast, leaders like Ghazi Amanullah Khan, Dr. Najeebullah, Zahir Shah, and Ashraf Ghani have demonstrated visionary leadership, promoting progress, modernization, and democratic values.

They have inspired hope and unity among Afghans, and their legacies serve as beacons of light for a nation that has faced unimaginable hardships.

Afghanistan needs rulers like these visionary leaders, who can guide the country towards peace, prosperity, and self-determination.

The country is looking for leaders who can unite its people, respect their rights, and protect their freedoms.

As Afghanistan celebrates its independence day, it is essential to reflect on its journey and the contributions of these leaders.

The international community must stand in solidarity with the Afghan people and support their struggle for democracy, human rights, and freedom from the Taliban’s tyranny.
