In a remarkable achievement that highlights Pakistan’s growing prominence in the field of nuclear science, students from the country have secured both silver and bronze medals at the first-ever International Nuclear Science Olympiad held in the Philippines.

This landmark event attracted top young minds from around the globe, who saw the Pakistani team standing tall among fierce competition.

According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), the team’s commendable performance was led by Suleman Nauman and Subhan Kashif, who won silver medals.

Their peers, Ehbaan Awan and Qasim Salam, also demonstrated exceptional skills, earning bronze medals in the competition.

The spokesperson, Shahid Riaz Khan, emphasized that the success of these students is a testament to the rigorous training they received at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) University, a premier institution known for its excellence in engineering and applied sciences.

The victorious students come from some of Pakistan’s most prestigious educational institutions, including Karachi Grammar School, Lahore Grammar School, and Sadiq Public School Rawalpindi.

This achievement not only brings pride to the nation but also sets a new benchmark for Pakistani students on the global stage, reflecting the country’s commitment to nurturing young talent in science and technology.
