The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported on Saturday that the torrential downpours have triggered a series of tragic incidents across the region, prompting the provincial government to declare a state of emergency in four affected districts.
According to the PDMA report, the relentless rains have led to multiple rain-related accidents, resulting in the deaths of 11 individuals.
Among the casualties are three children who tragically lost their lives in these incidents. Additionally, eight people sustained injuries, including seven children, as various mishaps occurred during the downpour.
The heavy rainfall has caused significant damage to infrastructure and agriculture in the province.

In response to the widespread destruction, the provincial government has declared an emergency in the four most severely affected districts.
The PDMA continues to monitor the situation closely, providing updates and coordinating relief efforts to support those impacted by the disaster.
