Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has embarked on a transformative environmental initiative through its “Clean and Green Pakistan Movement,” reflecting its unwavering commitment to fostering environmental sustainability.
As part of this ambitious movement, the Foundation has launched a nationwide Tree Plantation Week from August 11 to August 18, 2024, with a target of planting 300,000 trees across Pakistan within this short span.
This monumental effort is part of a larger goal of planting 2.5 million trees by the end of 2024, a significant step towards combating climate change and promoting ecological balance.
The initiative aligns seamlessly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically focusing on SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), highlighting Alkhidmat Foundation’s dedication to global environmental stewardship.
Through this movement, the Foundation is not only addressing the urgent need for reforestation in Pakistan but also setting a benchmark for other organizations to follow.
The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the green cover of the country, thereby contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment for future generations.
