In an important step towards promoting environmental sustainability, the Deputy Commissioner of Battagram, Asif Ali Khan planted a seedling in front of his office to officially launch the monsoon tree plantation campaign 2024.
The inauguration ceremony was also graced by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Battagram, Community Development Officer (CDO), Sub Divisional Forest Officer (SDFO) and other relevant officials.
While addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Battagram revealed that similar campaigns have been started in Battagram as well as all over Pakistan with the aim of maximum tree plantation.
He stressed that the government had a mission to make the country greener and more lively with annual tree plantation drives being one of them meant for temperature regulation and environmental enhancement.
The Deputy Commissioner called upon all Pakistanis to actively participate in this campaign by planting as many trees as possible and ensuring their protection.
