Pakistani Community in Rochdale Protest Against Manchester Airport Incident

The brutal police treatment of two young Pakistani males at the hands of police in Manchester Airport, United Kingdom (UK) has resulted in a strong community response by Pakistanis who staged a demonstration outside Rochdale Police Station.

This incident, where two policemen beat up the men when her mother watched them, has caused an uproar following the subsequent release on social media of footage about it.

According to Greater Manchester Police, officers were called out to deal with an alleged altercation at the airport.

During this time, one female officer sustained a broken nose and two other officers were assaulted too.

But the viral video shows that they kicked them several times while these boys’ heads were on the ground; therefore public showed their anger.

Five police officers implicated in the video footage have been temporarily suspended.

The protest by people from Pakistan against law enforcement misconduct highlights rising concerns about the excessive use of force by police forces and stresses the importance of holding them responsible for their actions.
