Imran Khan And Bushra Bibi Challenge arrests in Toshakhana Case at IHC

Imran Khan, the author of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), along with his woman Bushra Bibi, have filed a solicitation in the Islamabad High Court to dispute their apprehensions in the Toshakhana case.

The desires, submitted by Barristers Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, claim that the apprehensions are politically driven and have no legal base.

The pleaders claim that fake cases are being used by the civil and Punjab governments for political vengeance, in an trouble to detain Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

The petitions suggest that the arrests were carried out before the notices summoning the accused were decided upon by the court, suggesting malicious intent.

They allege that adversaries in politics are using the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for revenge, even though recent court decisions state that being named in a case does not automatically mean an immediate arrest.

The court petitions ask for a declaration of illegal arrests and demand the immediate release of both people.

Additionally, they are seeking a demand that all future arrests must be approved by the Islamabad High Court.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s legal team has identified the NAB Chairman, NAB Director General, and other officials as defendants in the case.

They emphasize that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s cooperation with the investigations means that their arrests are not necessary.

The petitions highlight that the arrests go against high court orders and are a clear demonstration of bad faith actions by their political opponents.

The court is being asked to issue orders to prevent government authorities from arresting the PTI founder and his wife without court approval in the future, guaranteeing protection against politically driven actions.
