Elon Musk to Donate $45 Million Monthly to Support Trump Campaign

The Wall Street Journal reports that billionaire tech tycoon Elon Musk is planning to donate a whopping $45 million each month to a new fund supporting Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

The massive cash influx was slated for America PAC, a political group aimed at boosting voter registration and turnout – especially during the early-voting period beginning in behind-closed-doors ballots as voters gear up to choose on Election Day.

Musk has joined other notable supporters of America PAC, such as Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, former US ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft, and cryptocurrency investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.

In a formal endorsement, Musk backed Trump’s candidacy following an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Musk praised President Trump heavily and each wish him a swift recovery,” wrote Musk on X, the speech social media he acquired in 2022.

Elon Musk, the wealthiest individual on earth valued at $250 billion throughout 2024 presidential election has become more and more pro-Trump.

Musk attended a fundraising breakfast at the Florida estate of billionaire Nelson Peltz on March 7, an event also attended by Trump.

Individual campaign contributions in the United States are capped at $3,300 per person.

However, weaknesses in campaign finance laws enable major donors to contribute to political action committees (PACs) that provide substantial support to candidates.

Although Trump previously criticized mail-in and absentee voting, he has since modified his stance upon recognizing its benefits for Democratic voters.
